Chiesa Restuarant in Historic Montford

Amazing transformation of the church building at the corner of Montford Avenue and West Chestnut Street. Under the direction of the new owners, Michael McDonough, a Montford architect, and Hans Doellgast of Jade Mountain Builders, have been nothing short of miraculous. Root Cause Award 2013

Jade Mountain graciously received the 2013 Award for Support of Local Wood Products.

The inaugural Root Cause Awards, celebrating achievement in the local forest products industry and sustainable forestry, were announced Oct. 3 during a celebration at Appalachian Designs in Fairview.

LEED Platinum – The home of Amy Musser and Matt Vande built by Jade Mountain Builders in 2011 is Energy Star, EPA Indoor AirPlus, and NC HealthyBuilt Homes certified, and also achieved a platinum LEED for Homes designation. It was the highest scoring LEED Platinum home in WNC. Vandemusser Design’s home is a valuable resource for sustainable design.
